Thanksgiving Weekend

This Thanksgiving weekend has been wonderful so far! Even though I sprained my ankle and have to spend it on crutches...Im being taken care of very well!

Friday evening, we spent a quiet night in. Saturday I went to lunch with my sisters and hubby went 4-wheeling and then we had dinner at my parents. Sunday I made 3 pies with were delicious! 2 classic pies -lemon meringue and pumpkin(with pecan praline on top) and then a new recipe which is like an apple pie/crisp with cream cheese spread over the bottom pie crust - Scrumptious!

It was ticky making the pies but my hubby was a BIG help.

Then we went to r.'s grandparents and spent the afternoon on the patio watching the kids play and drinking slushie drinks(it was very warm out).

We had a wonderful dinner with everyone.

This afternoon we are going to my parents for dinner and our family's annual pumpkin carving. I have the treat bags all ready. I look forward to it every Thanksgiving weekend.

How did you spend your Thanksgiving?

I am Thankful for my family, friends, the Lord, all the little children of this world, my health and the health of my family and friends, my education, my life with hubby, and our precious dog.
I am so Thankful for my wonderful husband.....
he takes care of me and supports me, its the little things that make me smile everyday like
these things he did this past weekend....

he heard me say "oh shoot" after a bang and came running because I am on crutches and my hair brush fell.
he rolled over Saturday morning and sang "Good morning beautiful" to me
he helped me with making pies and when I was getting hot and flustered because the oven was on, I was baking and it was 26 degrees out, he put the fan on the kitchen table and aimed it towards me, haha

He does so much everyday and I am always thankful for my husband.
