Bridal Shower

This weekend was my Bridal Shower and it was FABULOUS!

Friends travelled to be there (which touched my heart)

Games were played and laughs were had.

Family and friends chatted and ate,

wrote down words of wisdom

and warm wishes,

gave very nice gifts (maybe too many)

and most important were there to celebrate

the love between my fiance and I.

As we get closer and closer to our wedding date, we grow more excited and closer together.

68 days to go!

Feeling blah

I have been feeling blah lately, probrably because I have been sick and really not myself - out of energy and just kinda down lately.

Today was a down day but then I found refuge at my friends b.'s house.

I can always go there and feel better.

She's a stay at home mom and her kids make you instantly smile.

But even more than that, her home is cozy and warm

and you can't be there without feeling the warthm.

I love having amazing friends and coffee dates.

Sick Day

Today is a sick day...

a very sick day.

I powered through yesterday not feeling well but today I couldn`t do it.

I went to bed at 4pm yesterday and have stayed here with my hunny bringing me orange juice and cold face-cloths, while he rubbed my back.

Today I am home sick alone with no one to take care of me but feel a bit better, enough to blog and watch tv anyway.

I am very upset at this overwhelming sickness with a fever and dry hacking cough because not did I have to cancel a job I was scheduled for today, I had to decline 2 others for today.

As a supply teacher I am not entiltled to sick days
no work = no pay

Hope I am feeling better by tomorrow morning.

Happy Valentine's Day

I have never been a huge fan of Valentine's Day because I believe in love every single day and showing people you care everyday, telling you love them frequently.

I don't want Hallmark to tell my fiance to buy me something - roses, chocolates, candies etc.

I want him to decide when he wants to get me something, just because...

he loves each and everyday!

But I like all holidays and I do enjoy Valentine's, even more now that I have lots of little ones in my life who I like to give little cards and candies too.

We also have dinner together and tomorrow on V-day will be no different but we might have pizza by candlelight or something romantic.

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's and appreciate your loved ones

today and everyday.

Don't you worry about me

Yesterday I was infuriated after speaking with a friend about another. One who has just hurt and hurt me over again after I have tried to make things right and am always the bigger person. Why am I the bad guy when I am the one who is the bigger person, who still cares.

But then I thought about all the wonderful people in my life who are there for me, who respect me and show me that they care and not just 'pretend' and I am truly lucky to have so many friends that would do anything for me, who I could call at any time and share my thoughts and feelings without ever being judged.

"Don't you worry about me, don't you worry about me".....because I have wonderful people in my life who I treasure and love.

One of them begin the most wonderful man, my best friend, my fiance, the man I will be marrying soon. "He is good, sooo good!"

Weekend

The weekend is here and I am especially excited on this Friday because

after I run some errands and pack I will be leaving for the weekend

to visit some fabulous ladies and have some good laughs and a lot of fun,

do a little wedding planning and shopping a wedding boutique downtown,

have a glass or two, I mean bottles of wine,

Enjoy some delicious Greek food, yummy Saganaki

It is going to be a great weekend!
